In Poland, a transport license is a mandatory requirement for individuals or companies involved in the transport of goods or passengers. Obtaining a transport license involves several stages and requires compliance with certain regulations.

Business Registration

The first step is the registration of the business activity in the Central Registration and Information on Business (CEIDG) or, for larger enterprises, in the National Court Register (KRS). During the registration process, appropriate PKD codes for transportation are selected.

International Transport License

Providing transport services outside the borders of Poland requires obtaining an international transport license. The application process is similar to obtaining a domestic license, but additionally, a certificate of professional competence in international transport is required.

Insurance

Transport companies must ensure adequate insurance, including vehicle insurance and carrier's liability insurance in domestic and international traffic.
